Located in the idyllic unspoilt countryside of the Sierra de Aracena y Picos de Aroche, in Andalucia (SW Spain).
A forest garden (started in 2009), set in six acres (2.5 hectares) of dramatic hillside, 600 metres above sea-level, with panoramic south-west views clear to the Portuguese border. Hundreds of trees, all with an edible value.
Includes also a totally off-grid stone house (with solar power + pure water supply), furnished and ready to move into.
Just 15 minutes away (2km/ 1.2 miles) by forestry track is the ancient village of Almonaster la Real, a beautifully preserved and whitewashed local centre (with all the facilities) dating back to the Moors. 100kms (60 miles) away the amazing city of Sevilla. 120kms (72 miles) the beach. 40kms (24 miles) the border with Portugal.
Would suit a couple who want to live simply and healthily, surrounded by nothing but nature. Or small community based on yurts/ campervans.

Still disappointed I was not allowed to buy El Pocito,
I bought a house in France last year and have been living here for a full year today, August 19, 2023, where I already planted various fruit trees for food forest + vegetable garden with 24m2 greenhouse. Already home-bred chickens 20 + 1 couples of geese, 2 couples of ducks and 1 couple of sheep with already 1 lamb, all for their own food supply. Perhaps I will look further into my wilderness in the future because now I live on the edge of a very small French village.
