– Invasive Alien species

There is an IAS (Invasive Alien Species), which is so prolific that it has colonised
most land areas of this planet. It is highly destructive to the native flora and fauna,
decimating vast areas. It has few predators, a high birth rate and a long lifespan, so its population has reached alarming numbers. It has caused the extinction of many species and many more are being driven to dangerously low numbers by this parasitic creature. It kills for food, but does not eat it all, leaving vast quantities to waste. It perpetuates intensely cruel systems on other species, over which it has gained forced control, breeding them into unrecognisable beasts and plants, that are unable to live outside of the control of this species.

Not content with decimating the land, the habitats of all other species and
hence the populations of those species, they have also strayed onto and into the
seas, which have been plundered for food, causing massive depopulation of
hundreds of species. At the same time, they have made them almost uninhabitable
to sea dwellers, by the careless compulsion to dump all their massive amounts of
inorganic waste into the sea. They also destroy underneath the planet. This
strange species burrows deep beneath the surface of both the land and sea, in
search of minerals, which it excavates in vast quantities, leaving holes and
fissures. They then proceed to alter their booty, generally by burning, changing the
original structure into toxic gases, solids and liquids, which then interfere with the
natural balance of life, turning places into uninhabitable deserts.

Although many creatures travel long distances, they all do it through the use of
their own limbs, air currents, tides etc, but not so this IAS, who have devised
boxes, propelled by the products of their exploitation of the planet, in which they
sit to make vast journeys around the globe and also short journeys that would not
challenge even the smallest of mammals.

This IAS has lost its protective and insulating fur, thus requiring to drape
materials over itself. It is unable to move around without protection on the ends of
its legs. It becomes ill if in contact with or if it eats everyday bacteria. Its neonates
have large heads, making birthing difficult and dangerous.

Many species have homes, where they shelter, reproduce and nurse their young.
However, I do not know of any other which has such vast homes, far bigger than is
needed to just sleep, keep warm, store food and nurse young. This species builds
its own homes, generally above ground and lives in very small family groups of
around four. These four have a home which takes up a huge area of land and as
there are billions of this IAS, their homes cover large areas, excluding most other
species from living there. Into these homes, they put all their possessions, trinkets that they place great value on, but are actually of little or no use to any other species, yet they seem to keep these IAS’s amused in some way.

They have a very complex society. Very few are engaged in anything worthwhile,
so the majority of the species are occupied in irrelevant tasks, which, however,
they place great importance upon.

They have encouraged the survival and breeding of unhealthy individuals and the
way they live promotes this lack of physical fitness. They are now promoting lack
of skills for survival and independence. Although physical and sexual maturity is
reached at around thirteen years of age, psychological maturity and independence
from the parent, is rarely achieved before the age of thirty five, if at all. This means
that immature juveniles are breeding and engaging in the rearing of offspring.
This poor health status coupled with its total reliance on others for its means of
feeding and inability to fend for itself, will eventually cause the downfall of this very
strange invasive alien species. No other plant or creature on this planet lives a life
so totally different from all other species. Although biologically very similar to all
other mammals, it lacks any means to survive periods of change, due to its total
reliance on a network of obscure systems, which are completely unsustainable.
