– the people of Shetland value the car more than life itself

In the Shetland of the near future those who choose not to own a car, along with cyclists, those who aren’t allowed to drive or can’t afford to (a sizeable proportion of the current population), will have to take up wild swimming to travel between the islands for shopping, visiting friends and family, attending hospital appointments or going out for the evening.

Meanwhile to meet the costs for this crazy tunnel scheme, Shetland Islands Council are already making cuts to essential public services.

They won’t be happy until only their kind, ruthlessly greedy, want to live in Shetland.
